Face to Face 1 Week Business Development and Innovation Management

About the Course

Receive training on innovative business strategies for integrating hydrogen into student business ideas.


Training covers specialised topics to cover business essentials including:


  • Creativity and Innovation

  • Business Canvas and Design Thinking

  • Finance and Entrepreneurship


These Master Classes offer students the opportunity to present their own research projects and discuss problems in modelling and simulation with their lecturers and peers to garner valuable advice for their work. The participants will be asked to join in student projects and to apply their new skills to a case study to be presented at the end of the week. These courses are all accredited at the University of Birmingham, each carrying 3 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) points.


The programme is part of wider group of opportunities for learners organised jointly by the University of Birmingham, Research Centre Jülich (Forschungszentrum Jülich) in cooperation with the University of Aachen (RWTH), the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), the Université catholique de Louvain, and Future.Solutions Sàrl.


The programme hosts university students (Masters and doctoral studies levels), post-doctoral researchers, and experienced researchers and engineers. It offers credits for various Continuous Professional Development (CPD) schemes. The topical content is tailored to the needs of a diverse audience: newcomers to the field, experienced students, and young professionals working at the forefront of fuel cell, electrolyser, and battery applications.
