Politehnica University of Bucharest

The University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB) is the oldest technical university in the country and one of the most prestigious educational institutes in Romania. The UPB is involved with the Faculty of Energy Engineering, the Department of Electrical Power Systems, and the Departments of Energy Generation and Use. The master programmes include courses dedicated to hydrogen and fuel cells, focused on hydrogen production and purification technologies, hydrogen storage, and hydrogen use.

Professor Virgil Dumbrava is a professor in energy generation, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and environmental issues. He is the lead for KICStartH2 work with his institution.
